I doubt very much that any hotfixes have been released yet [publicly] for vista. When it does, you can either go to http://www.softwarepatch.com . Or go get the original copy, if you think that vista is good.

As vista is not released to the general public yet, the hotfixes should not be available. But, you can get them, as and when, MSFT decides to publicly release the hotfixes.

Does Windows Update download the hot fixes or do we have to manually get them?

Windows Updates should be able to cope with it.

If you want to know if an update is safe, go to Microsoft.com and put in the update id number (like kb953...) into the search field. It will bring up a page explaining everything the update is for. So it will literally tell you on Microsofts own site if the update will try to stop the antiWPA or any other activation hack. If you can't find an update in the search, it's usually because it's just an optional or recommended update and those are harmless.

I've downloaded all the updates, rebooted and everything is still working just fine.

sagem - here is an article that I found that people have said worked to solve the error you're getting. I'd 1st recommend just rebooting and trying again, but if it still does't work, and you are desperate, you can try this...

Re: Error 80245003

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the solution that I found after scouring forums and the internet.

Rename the SoftwareDistribution folder. (Because of possible folder
corruption or other errors.)

Click Start, Choose Run.
In the Run box, type services.msc.
Click OK.
Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
Click Stop.
Stopping the service will take a moment.

Rename the “SoftwareDistribution folder:
a. Click Start, click Run, type %systemroot%, and then click OK.
b. Right-click the SoftwareDistribution folder, and then click Rename.
c. Type SoftwareDistribution.old, and then press ENTER to rename this folder.
Create a new folder called "SoftwareDistribution"

Click Start. Choose Run.
In the Run box, type services.msc.
Click OK.
Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
Click Start.
Starting the service will take a moment.
Rerun Windows Update.

This worked for me and apparently many others. You can always go back to the
old SoftwareDistribution folder if it doesn't work for you.

Ok everyone, you might want to start checking for the Ultimate Extras updates. I just downloaded Hold'em Poker and Bitlocker. I didn't get Dreamscene because I already have it installed from some random source :thumbsup2:

It's about time already! Can anyone confirm if Dreamscene is an update? I heard Texas Hold'em Poker and Bitlocker is. If so I will need to uninstall my Dreamscene Beta :whistling2:
